Aylas rooting is coming on well. It is taking a long time to do but will be worth it in the end. She's going to be a real cutie when finished

Well its that busy time of year again, the run up to Christmas!

I shall be reborning my socks off in the next few weeks and hope to have atleast 4 new reborn babies available to adopt before Christmas.

I have just 1 or 2 spaces left for custom and portrait orders, so if anyone is interested please contact me asap before time runs out.

Im also working on a new ethnic baby too.

Today ive been busy working some more painting 12" custom baby. Shes coming along nicely.

I decided to tone down the pink undertones a little with a flesh/blue/white wash. Its done it nicely without being too different.

Ive now tipped her fingernails and varnished them. They are so so tiny and fiddly to do, but worth it.

Ive added very delicate small eyebrows, and gone over them with 3D texture medium. I hate big think eyebrows on reborns, so i make sure mine are always very fine, barely there, rather than looking like 2 caterpillars stuck to the face lol.

My craft oven is on coming up to temperature, whilst i finish my cup of coffee, then im off to bake her again. Im very pleased with her so far.

The painting stage is almost done, then onto rooting the little darling.

She will be rooted in a medium brown mohair.

Prices start from just £200 upwards depending on kit used for a 18"-21 baby. Which is cheaper than some artists charge. I just love doing custom & portrait babies, i barely charge to cover my materials, but i just love doing them. I really should put my prices up. 10-14" babies start from just £150 upwards.

Well the oven must be nice and warm by now, and my coffee cooled, so id better finish and go get cracking once more

Well we had 2 lovely days at Dumfries & Stranraer shows. Our stand was non stop busy all day at both events.

It was lovely to meet so many people, and get so many lovely compliements about the babies too.

I have 2 babies on the go, an Ethnic baby boy who is being rooted, but very slowly as ive been working on another 12" custom order. Its another Christina sculpt by Petra Lechner.

Her basic skin tones are done. I will be doing the creases next and review her look. I might then add some more blushing with my darker blush colouring this time. She has already had lighter blushing done, but the darker blushing will give a lovely tone to her cheeks, knees etc.

She is going to have mid brown hair once i root her.

So far so good, im delighted with how she is turning out.

Been very busy today preparing for the shows.

Ive been sewing on labels onto the bum part of several dolls bodies, and also sewing over the gaps where the cable ties fasten.

I also glued in Trinity's magnet, and weighted her head. Im just going to fill the rest of her head with fibre fill then glue some felt to seal it. Her body is ready just needs her head.

Ive not managed to do any more work on my second ethnic baby yet. I think im going to shade him more around the eyes.

Ive not got my confirmations from Natalie Scholl that ive pre ordered 2 of her gorgeous preemie kits called Ryan. Ryan is amazing, and sold out super fast, as did the Jayden kit.

I cant wait till Ryan kits are ready. Its so well detailed.

I am  working on a new Ethnic baby. The base colour coats are done, as are creases etc.

Im thinking of adding some more colour layers to the lips, and then the finger nails need tipping and varnish. Im looking forwards to seeing how this one turns out.
